I’m Shauna. I’m so glad you came by to visit me. I have been dragging my feet starting this blog because I didn’t know if you would come or not. I shouldn’t have worried, I know God is faithful, and He always answers prayer. I have prayed for you: The special person who loves truth from the Word of God mixed with honest introspection and authenticity.

Welcome! Consider yourself hugged. I am excited to share my journey with you. We are on a great adventure to unwrap the destiny God has put on the inside of us. He is not some old inaccessible geezer in some distant place. He is big and awesome, accessible, and personal. He lives in us through the Holy Spirit. He wants fellowship with you. He had a plan for you before the foundation of the world. He knows you and loves you with unimaginable love and kindness. He desires to do such wonderful things in you, for you, and through you.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was raised on a dairy farm in South East Iowa. I still have my country roots; but have lived many places since I left home. I have been passionately pursuing God since my teenage years (which is awhile). My husband and I have been in children’s ministry through most of our 33-year marriage. We have four great kids. They are grown now and serving in the local church in various capacities.

I will share more of my story as we go. Sometimes the way was challenging. Always, I managed to find humor along the way. I want with all my heart to be and do everything God has called me to be and do. I want the same for you. So, if there is anything in my story that will benefit you. I am happy to share it.

Let’s share the adventure and walk together. Whether you have been walking with God for over 40 years as I have or are just beginning your journey into His love; I want to offer you my friendship and companionship, as well as helpful things I’ve learned along the way. I hope you will interact with me and we can enjoy each other’s unique personalities as we learn and grow.

I am using the name Unscripted for a reason. Those who know me well, know I don’t like anything plastic or phony. I am authentic and quirky. I am apt to come off with a spontaneous quip or pun in one breath, and a serious heart-felt truth the next. I am liable to sing a line or two of an old show tune as it fits into the fabric of a conversation; or, drop everything and leap into prayer or praise. I believe life was meant to be lived full throttle, wholeheartedly, and fun! I also believe in being immersed in the presence of God and loaded with the life changing Words of His mouth.
